In Term 2, we will be having our Winter Recital — our mini-concert for students only. This recital helps students to prepare for exams and the year-end concert by providing them with the opportunity to perform in a more informal setting. For the recital, students will perform one piece each. They will be working with me to select and prepare their piece in the next few weeks.
Date: Sunday, 19 June 2016
Time: 2.30 – 3.30 pm
Venue: 84 Bridgewater Way, Rowville (studio)

The Music Of Japan
Japanese music is very different from the music common in Western lands. This difference can be heard in the scales, rhythms and the sounds. In Western orchestral music, sounds from the various instruments blend to produce harmony. But in Japanese music, the instruments play separate melodies. Nevertheless, together they create an aesthetic balance. Music Sheets: 1. National Anthem of Japan – Kimigayo (君が代) 2. Sakura |
