Johann Sebastian Bach Born: March 31, 1685, Eisenach, Germany Died: July 28, 1750, Leipzig, Germany Johann Sebastian Bach was a German composer and musician – he played the violin, organ and harpsichord. He is probably the best known of the Baroque composers, noted for his brilliance in harmony, counterpoint and using motifs.
